The shims on the relief spool only set pressure. Adding .010 shim will increase the pressure about 700 PSI. Relief should be at 3400 psi, then drop to 1700 or so. Shims have nothing to do with the 'speed' actually volume of the output. Volume is made with the 3 low pressure pistons, high pressure is by the 4th piston.
